Collection: Fabric Recliners

A fabric recliner sofa is a sofa with reclining seats upholstered in fabric rather than leather. The seat back tilts and a footrest extends, either by pulling a lever (manual) or pressing a button (electric). Fabric versions feel warmer and softer to sit on than leather and do not stick to skin in summer.

Fabric recliner questions

What is the difference between an electric and a manual recliner?

A manual recliner is operated by a side lever or by pushing back against the seat, needs no power supply, and costs less. An electric recliner uses a motor and a button, stops at any position you choose, and often adds powered headrests, USB charging and LED lighting. Electric models need a plug socket within reach of the sofa.

How much space does a recliner sofa need?

Allow 40 to 50cm of clearance behind or in front of the sofa for the seats to open fully, on top of the sofa's own depth. Exact reclined dimensions are listed on each product page.

Is fabric or leather better for a recliner?

Fabric is warmer to sit on, quieter, and available in more colours and textures. Leather wipes clean faster and copes better with spills and pet hair. Both use the same reclining mechanisms, so the choice comes down to feel and cleaning rather than function.
